Flexible New Deal
You will be referred to our Flexible New Deal programme by Jobcentre Plus if you have been claiming Jobseeker's Allowance for at least 12 months and live in any of the following areas:

  • Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire
  • Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders, Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire, Ayrshire, Dumfries, Galloway and Inverclyde.

Pathways to Work
1. If you are making a claim for health-related benefits from 27th October 2008, as part of the Employment and Support Allowance, you will take part in a Work Capability Assessment. If you are deemed able to join a work-related programme and live in one of the areas below, Jobcentre Plus will refer you to Ingeus’ Pathways to Work programme. If your health condition exempts you from being required to join, you will still be able to join if you want to.

2. If you were already claiming health benefits before 27th October 2008, and live in one of the areas below, you can choose to join our Pathways to Work programme and benefit from the support on offer.

  • Central London
  • City and East London
  • Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth
  • Birmingham and Solihull
  • Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders
  • Nottinghamshire

New Deal
Most people who join our New Deal programme in Hammersmith are referred to us from Jobcentre Plus once they have been on Jobseeker’s Allowance for a certain amount of time. You may be able to join the programme early – click here to find out if you are eligible. If you meet the criteria just visit your local Jobcentre Plus office.

Employment Zones
Many people who join our Employment Zone programmes in Brent and Haringey are referred to us from Jobcentre Plus once they have been on Jobseeker’s Allowance for a certain amount of time. You may be able to join the programme early – click here to find out if you are eligible. If you meet the criteria just visit your local Jobcentre Plus office.

European Social Fund
This programme is for unemployed people living in London.

Tower Hamlets PCT
Residents of Tower Hamlets who are on any of the following benefits are eligible to join this programme:

  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Income Support with a Disability Premium
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance

Working Neighbourhoods Fund
Yardley residents who fall into any of the following categories aare eligible to join this programme

  • Single parents claiming Income support
  • Young people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • People seeking to become self-employment
  • People on health-related benefits
