Our Working Neighbourhoods Fund programmes support people in Yardley into suitable work

Ingeus' Working Neighbourhoods Fund provides people living in Yardley with the advice and support they need to find lasting work that suits their circumstances. The programme is open to people who are either:

  • Single parents claiming Income support
  • Young people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • People seeking to become self-employment
  • People on health-related benefits

Ingeus has helped hundreds of people living in Yardley to move from benefits into lasting work, and through our Working Neighbourhoods Fund we can offer free access to a range of services, including:

  • Job-search facilities – access to our Job Station computers, phones and newspapers
  • Better-off calculations - to show how much financially better-off a person will be in work
  • Self-employment support – help to plan, start, and manage a business
  • Expert job-search support – advice on how to find and apply for work and prepare for interviews
  • Expert health advice - our health professionals can provide specialist advice to help people their health conditions
  • Work-focused training - access to training services though our network of local partners
  • In-house workshops – covering a range of topics such as such as ‘Confidence building’ and ‘Interview skills’
  • Continuing support – help to manage the transition from benefits into work

Ingeus’ Working Neighbourhood Fund programme is delivered by Ingeus in partnership with Birmingham City Council and supported by beBirmingham, the Learning and Skills Council, and Jobcentre Plus.
