We have supported people claiming health-related benefits in the London boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Wandsworth, and Brent
In 2004, we launched a two-year Jobcentre Plus-funded outreach programme aimed at supporting people on Incapacity Benefits in the London boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Wandsworth to find employment. The team worked in close partnership with local health and community organisations to engage their service-users with our unique employment service, and had assisted over 200 people with health-related conditions into work by the end of the contract period.
From August 2005 to June 2008 we ran a similar programme for people on Incapacity Benefits in Brent. Funded by Brent Council, this programme, which was voluntary for people to join, supported local people to get back to work.
