Ingeus delivers two programmes in London co-financed by the European Social Fund and London Development Agency. In order to deliver these programmes effectively we work with an established network of 11 subcontractors, including the Faith Regen Foundation.
The Faith Regen Foundation was established in response to the events of 9/11 to dispel stereotypes and create understanding between communities. They are the only Muslim-led multi-faith charity in the UK. A multi-faith approach allows them to engage with people from very diverse communities in disadvantaged areas.
By working together we can reach the hardest-to-reach communities in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Outreach work with BAME (Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Group) communities through religious establishments and community centres allows both organisations to work with people who do not currently access employment and skills support. For example, Faith Regen recently opened a new delivery centre in Parson’s Green above the local Mosque.
The Faith Regen Foundation is an accredited training organisation. Our partnership enables Ingeus clients to access training opportunities alongside employability support and job brokerage. For example, Faith Regen run an NVQ in Childcare for a number of clients and focus on nursery and teaching assistant positions as well as sourcing vacancies in a number of other industries.
Sarah Atkinson, of the Faith Regen Foundation, says, "We are very pleased to be working with Ingeus on this programme, supporting diverse communities in Hammersmith and Brent to break out of the cycle of poverty and deprivation through sustainable employment. Our partnerhsip enables us to reach new communities that are currently not engaging with local support services, providing new opportunities for local individuals and their families."
