We manage a supply chain of over
50 subcontractors who complement our services by providing specialist support
and extending our geographical coverage.

Our subcontractors range from large, national providers through to small, local suppliers. In Dorset, we subcontract our entire NDDP contract to Maximus Employment and Training UK, while our New Deal contract in London is supported by 15 suppliers who provide work experience placements and specialist provision for specific groups, such as the over 50s or graduates.

Our advisors and those of our subcontractors are trained and resourced to meet the diverse needs of our clients, such as housing issues, skills gaps, disabilities and substance misuse, and we provide integrated skills and progression support, condition management programmes and in-work support services.

The support we offer our subcontractors includes:

  • Delivering ongoing training sessions and workshops for subcontractor staff to drive performance and quality
  • Ingeus Contract Managers working on subcontractor sites to share best practice and help to increase job outcomes
  • Adjusting payment structures according to the nature of our subcontracts to ensure they are fair and promote good practice.

Response Security Training
Where appropriate, we work alongside our subcontractors to help build their capacity and develop their expertise. For example, we identified that Response Security Training (RST), one of our New Deal IAP subcontractors, had the capacity to deliver employability support in addition to the SIA Security industry licence test they were already delivering. We supported them in developing a more comprehensive programme that built upon their industry expertise to provide a full job-preparation programme tailored to the needs of the industry.

We helped RST develop their tracking and administrative processes to enable them to meet the full requirements of New Deal. This has proved to be a highly successful and popular programme and achieves, on average, a 60% job outcome rate for clients completing the course.
