Applying for a role at Ingeus is straightforward. We have an online recruitment system that is designed to make it easy for you to apply for a vacancy and track the progress of your application. If you click on Current vacancies you can search and apply for open vacancies or track existing applications.
Registration
If this is the first time you have applied for a role with Ingeus, you will first need to register. To do this, find the vacancy you are interested in and then click on the Apply button. You will be asked to provide your email address (which we will use for communication with you) and a password, which will enable you to log onto the system. Once you have submitted your application we will acknowledge receipt by email. You will be able to return to the system at any time to track the progress of your application.
Online application process
The online application form itself is brief as you are required to attach a CV and covering letter for all vacancies. As part of your covering letter you will be asked to respond to a set of questions which can be found in the vacancy details section of each role. If these questions are not answered in your covering letter, we will not proceed with your application. Please note, we cannot accept any applications by post or email.
Eligibility to work in the UK and identity checks
Appointment to all positions is subject to the verification of eligibility to work in the UK, as per the Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Act 2006. If successful, you will be required to supply specific original documents, further details of which will be supplied at the point of offer.
Pre-employment checks
Once a job offer has been made, we instruct a company called Verifile to administer pre-employment checks on our behalf.
References
We require references from all previous places of work and full-time study for the last three years. If you have been out of work, a personal reference will be used to cover gaps of six months or more. Any offer of employment will be conditional on satisfactory references.
Criminal record checks
For regulated positions where you will be in contact with young people or vulnerable adults, all successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau (if based in England or Wales) or from Disclosure Scotland. Alternatively, for positions where you will have access to Government property, systems or information you will be subject to a Basic Disclosure check with Disclosure Scotland. Details of whether the role is classified as a regulated position or whether it has access to Government data will be specified in the job description part of the job advert. A copy of our policy on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders and the Storage, Handling, Use and Retention of Disclosure Information is available upon request.
